Hi - can you help with this log? I need to remove traydefault and frag_aim.exe
They both try to install at startup.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Hi there HappySurfer!!

Its your turn to get fixed up, but first you may need to repost your log.
There appears to be a section missing from it, some entries with the prefix O20 - O23.
I could be wrong, but its very rare when XP machines have none of these entries.
Please repost your log in its entirety and we will go from there.

Thank you so much Skate, but the drive became non-bootable since then (see my other postings on GTG...)
I have been working at trying to run it as a secondary SATA and recover the
data. Dell is sending me a new 160GB HDD no charge....
Meanwhile the buzzards were circling and offering to reciver y precious data for
only $750 (minimum) LOL

Ahh Sorry we couldnt get ya fixed up sooner

Here are some pointers for next time though...

Preventative Measures

Read How Did I Get Infected In The First Place?.

Also Consider...
  • SpywareBlaster to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place.
  • SpywareGuard to catch and block spyware before it can execute.
  • IESpy-Ad to block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email.
You should also have a good firewall. Here are 3 free ones available for personal use:Sorry about your luck - hope things get cleared up!
