Recently my son's laptop is having the web page pop-up "about-blank" everytime he starts up the computer... We have Norton SystemWorks running - it is updated. I have tried to change the startup web page - ran stinger and some other malicious software removal tools from the microsoft site and still keep coming up to the same thing! Any ideas? - my son's computer is running XP home edition...

It cant. Depending on the variant, that may not even phase it. Do not offer malware assistance until you have completed training.

If this fella can't remove it, follow the instructions in the above mentioned post for getting a thread going in the Malware forum. Additionally, first off, I would run a quick search for "about:blank" or some variant here on the board as this hijack is fairly common and I'm sure there will be some good suggestions for you to try.
