OK, so here's the problem.

I got Age Of Empires 2, the age of kings from my friend a few months ago. He lent me the cd, and took it back yesterday. So now, I downloaded a No-Cd key from a website.

After overwriting the .exe file of Age of Empires, I tried to play it. It then gives me the error message: Age of Empires has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I then downloaded another no-cd key from a different website, and it gives me the same error. what's wrong?

Are NO CD keys even legal? :tazz:

;)

No they aren't.
If you don't even own the game you got the no cd crack for, then it really isn't.

It would be like stealing. You installed a game to your PC... Then you play it without the CD which wasn't even yours.

If the game would be yours and you would have payed for it, and then you like would have lost your cd, then it wouldn't be too bad.. Or would it?

I'm not gonna help or give suggestions since you have problems with illegal software.
