Please download WMPFix here

Unzip the file, and then run wmpfix.bat

Then try opening Windows Media Player

A Repair Install will replace the system files with the files on the XP CD used for the Repair Install. It will leave your applications and settings intact, but Windows updates will need to be reapplied.

Please Download the free trial of RegSupreme

Install the program but do not run it yet.

Please delete this folder:

c:\program files\windows media player


Run RegSupreme.

Then download and reinstall Windows Media Player.

Let us know how that works!
