I have windows xp professional and I am haveing problems geting into the help and support under the start menu. I have the service turned on and evey thing but all it does once I i click on it is the time glass pops up for a few seconds and stops.

Edit: the reson why i am want thing to get in to this is so i can change what starts on on the start up, so if there is an alternative way id like to know

You can use msconfig to view ur startup.
[Start->Run. Type msconfig. Press enter. Go to Startup Tab]

You can also use Sysinternal's Autoruns, which also shows the DLLs loaded at startup.

Regarding ur Help Center, Try disabling ur Antivirus and then open it.
I am telling this because Help Center uses scripts and there are some Antivirus programs which stop it.
