PCLinuxOS Boot

I have installed PCLinuxOS from the LiveCD and re-booted and it says:
Searching for boot record from IDE-0-OK
But then it freezes and does absolutely nothing for ages.

no there is no other operating system on it.

try reinstalling....something might not have gone through the first time....you may have a bad distro

I have fixed it now thanks just re-installed.
But now when I start Linux it says localhost login like normal and then it should go to the login screen but forsome odd reason doesn't it just stays on the localhost login Please Help!
