XP and Itunes

I have XP with SP2 and when I attempt to lad Itunes( disc or download) I get the
following message
UnHandled Exception

Description: Dll call crashed: QTInstallInfo.NeedInstall
Setup will terminate now

any thoughts... I am thinking of trashing the Ipod~

umm if you are i get dibbs on it.

did you download the latest version from apples's website? Its possible that you may have malware that may be interfering.
