Since I started using a proxy server for my internet connection, I haven't been able to get updates for Spyware Doctor and any other anti-spyware I installed afterward as I can't get them to connect. Even though I still can get the updates for McAfee products.

Thanks for your help

Does your firewall allow you to add permissions for programmes to access the internet

Yes, it does. I give them permission to access the internet, but they fail to connect. I even disabled the firewall, and tried to connect several times. But it didn't work.
