I have been reading the topics and have been reading about the "yellow" !. I can't get it to go away or install.

I have a nvidia nforce 2 motherboard with onboard sound but the sound will not work. I have tried installing the drivers over and over again and uninstalling and reinstalling.

please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very possible the onboard sound chip has 'died' so no amount of driver installing will make any difference. This happened to me recently on a 3-year old mobo with an AC97 sound-chip, so I disabled the sound-chip in the BIOS settings and installed a cheap PCI sound card.
