I just picked up a PSP last week. I wanted to use it while traveling. Hot Shots golf gets a thumbsup from me. I also bought MidnightClub3 racing on the recommendation of a friend, but I'm not too impressed yet, though I haven't played long.

Ya would think that people have better things to do with their time... It seems that people that get banned always have the same personality. They are unloveable, but desperately seeking love, so they wave their arms around trying to get attention, and when they do they make it painfully clear why no one loves them in the first place. Then, when they are admonished for their behavior they begin weaving a paranoid thread wherein the whole world is wrong and they are right, hence nothing changes about their tactics even though they are failing. It's sad, really.
I've played everything that has been suggested in this thread, such as it is, and I liked most of them. My favorite game so far, though, is Coded Arms. I love FPS games and I was concerned that the controls might make the PSP a difficult match for these. Coded reminds me that some of the best respected shooters ever were initially released on single-stick consoles. IT takes a little getting used to, but once you do it's slick, enjoyable gameplay. Perfectly crafted for portability, as the randomly generated levels give ya just enough time to load, play a level, and save, before you have to get off the bus or into the dentist's chair or wherever. Anyway, thumbs up for Coded Arms.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Lumines... normally puzzle games aren't my preference but this one is addicted... the changing colors, speed, and music make this one game I can't put down... buy it new, buy it used, just buy it...

I enjoyed my PSP while i had it. somewhat. i may go buy a nother one when they start releaseing some classic style RPGs on it, till then, it is an awsome handhel, but i got no use for it yet. but Untold Legends was good, and so was NFL Street and that ATV game, i forget what it is called, lol!

Yeah, I'd really enjoy some classic style RPG's as well. Though, I think those kind of games absorb me more than others, I get involved in the story and working on my character, so for portable gaming I can see how that might interfere with my life more... but that's not always a bad thing. I am patient, though. In the meantime I've been playing a lot of Coded Arms. It sure beats solitaire on my cell phone.
