Cleaning CDROM's and DVD players

I added to dvd player to the system and would like to keep it running Should I buy a dvd cleaner disk or can I just use my cd cleaning disk?

The cleaners are esentially the same. If the one you have works on your cd drive ok, it will be ok for the dvd as well. I am referring to the cd with soft bristles that "cleans" the optical lens.
