okay i just reinstalled windows on my computer, i did the worst thing i have done yet. java script:emoticon('') i was frustrated that the flopy disc that came with the ethernet pci card wasn't working in my computer. so i just took one of the drivers from the dlink catagory that was almost the same (the name of the driver is on the flopy too so i don't know that, it has always worked before.) first i have no idea how too unistall the driver i designated for the pci card(which was the wrong one) and second i need to find out what model i have.

any help would be appreciated

right click my computer > manage > device manager.. look for the nic card and either update the driver from the disk....or uninstall it....this location should also tell you what kind of card it is

what my computer icon are you refering to?

when i right click it it just gives me to options: open, explor, search, create shortcut, rename, properties

are you logged on as an administrator?

it is just the icon at the top of the desktop(shortcut i think) we only have one log in

ok...i'll get you to where i wanted you to be....start > run > mmc

once that opens > file > add/remove snap in > add > device manager

when i type "mmc" into run and hit okay it just say it doesn't recognize it

you got tt wrong .....

start button-

right click on the "my computer" icon

go to "properties"

select the "Hardware" tab

select the "Device manager" button

Click the plus sighn under the "network adapters" catagories to expand or minimise the catagory

if there is a yellow exclamation point or a red x in this catagory let me know.
