Please print out these instructions or copy them into a text file on your Desktop for easy access.

During the fix, u will be asked to fix some entries, delete some files or uninstall some programs. If in case, you do not see those entries / files / programs, please make a note of it. Continue with the fix and in your next post please inform me of all deviations from the fix prescribed.

1. Download Programs

Please download these programs and save them in a new folder on your desktop -

CleanUp
Ewido Security Suite

Install Ewido, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

2. Remove Infections

Restart the PC in Safe Mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key when the PC is starting up).

Run CleanUp and delete all temp files including temporary internet files

Run Ewido full scan. Let it fix any items it finds.

3. Run Hijack This

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [version] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ktworj.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Z0qpRhJmh] dvd6mon.exe

Close all windows other than Hijack This. Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

4. Delete Rogue files

Open Add or Remove Programs (click on Start ---> Settings ---> Control panel. This should be the 3rd item). Uninstall or remove the following items -

Open Windows Explorer (right click on Start and then click on explore). Locate and delete the following folders and files -

Folders
C:\Program Files\SurfAccuracy

Files
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ktworj.exe

(Search for this fiel using Windows Search function)

Clear out the files in the Prefetch folder. Go to start> run> type into the box Prefetch and delete all the files in that folder. Dont delete the folder, only the files in it !!!!!!!!

Thats what I have now.

BTW, I have Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition. (Client) I am not in some enterprise or anything, but it still works, and I don't have to do any of that subscription crap. My current version is outdated; I will have to purchase the latest version if I want to upgrade. Is the current one I have satisfactory for an anti-virus program?

Sorry I couldn't get the ewido report, I forgot about it. =\ All I can remember is that it killed 24 satanic files. Thanks!

Hi,

Once the PC is clean, I will suggest a few programs that you should install on your including AV programs. Norton Enterprise edition is a good AV product. However there are certain AV products which are available free for personal use. Maybe you can try one of them !!!!

there is one item which needs to be fixed -

Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following items need to be fixed -

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [secure] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Rnwfqy.exe

Close all windows other than Hijack This. Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

Open Windows Explorer (right click on Start and then click on explore). Locate and delete the following folders and files -

Files
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Rnwfqy.exe

Reboot the PC in Normal Mode.

Please visit Panda and do an online scan. Save the scan report.

Run Hijack This and post a fresh HJT log along with Panda scan report.

there IS no logic to my name. go to www.ohnoes.org if you want to somewhat understand. I uninstalled ewido, and I accidentally told it to kill all scan logs too. =\

And my Norton enterprise IS free, unless it says "you must upgrade in order to recieve current updates," which I don't think it does.

And when I ran ewido, it said there were a few things it couldn't delete but then it did it when my computer started up.
