Well, it looks like I have most of the team here, so I'm sure someone will "GET IT" and all will be well.

Cold one is sounding good about now, if it wasn't 2:28AM.

Peter, I wasn't all that concerned with the Help and Support thing. I never use it anyway.

Did you lock down the Internet Options control panel in IE with Spybot or similar. If not, fix.

Back to the issues:

Dave, Am I suppose to "fix" everything listed there? I have no use for the WebTV thing. I think it locked up the system.

Yes, fix all of the first section, any of the second you no longer use. Then uninstall TVViewer and delete the folder in C:\Program Files.

While you're in safe mode, go ahead and run disk cleanup too, removing all temp files.

Checked all in first section with exception of:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [OpwareSE2] "C:\Program Files\ScanSoft\OmniPageSE2.0\OpwareSE2.exe" >>keep if using a USB scanner

I use Pest Patrol, but don't like it loading all that stuff whenever you use it. I also use Corel Office, but not the alarm, etc. Should I fix those if I use the main program?

I'm not sure about this:

Did you lock down the Internet Options control panel in IE with Spybot or similar. If not, fix.

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Should I fix it if I'm not sure? I can always reset the "lock down" later, huh?

Fixing them up.

Can't locate: Scheduled Tasks, then click advanced>stop using task scheduler, but removed the items listed.

Couldn't locate WebTV or any of the files/programs listed in Add/Remove programs.

Deleted TVViewer folder in Program Files.

Ran DiskCleanup

Open Scheduled Tasks in control panel and click Advanced on the toolbar. Should be an option to stop using it.
