Hey, just wondering if you could change the "this post has been edited by blahblah" to only show if it was edited after someone posted a reply below it..

This would be a big change so I'm open to other users thoughts about it

What do all the admin thinkk..

SHOW "this post has been edited by blahblah at this time" IF:

• The post was edited after a replying post (to avoid confustion and people saying "i didnt say that...even look")

• The admin edited it.

DONT SHOW IT:

• After a normal post with no editing(obviously)
• If the post was edited before a reply

The next version of the forum actually addresses this. It even goes a step further, you can perform a quick or full edit of your topic, and if you post two topics within 10 minutes of each other, it will automatically merge them, instead of creating new posts.

nice, so it says "quick edit" or does it say nothing if no one has made a post after yours even if u edited it..

It's still in beta, so subject to change, but it doesn't add any 'edited by' text.

A quick edit allows you to directly edit text in your post, without redrawing the screen (using AJAX). A full edit returns you to a reply window with all the posting options (including WYSIWYG).
