Hey, just wondering if you could change the "this post has been edited by blahblah" to only show if it was edited after someone posted a reply below it..

This would be a big change so I'm open to other users thoughts about it :tazz:

What do all the admin thinkk..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SHOW "this post has been edited by blahblah at this time" IF:

• The post was edited after a replying post (to avoid confustion and people saying "i didnt say that...even look")

• The admin edited it.

DONT SHOW IT:

• After a normal post with no editing(obviously)
• If the post was edited before a reply

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next version of the forum actually addresses this. It even goes a step further, you can perform a quick or full edit of your topic, and if you post two topics within 10 minutes of each other, it will automatically merge them, instead of creating new posts. :tazz:

It's still in beta, so subject to change, but it doesn't add any 'edited by' text.

A quick edit allows you to directly edit text in your post, without redrawing the screen (using AJAX). A full edit returns you to a reply window with all the posting options (including WYSIWYG).
