Have SBC DSL connection. INstalled AOL 9.0, now IE and AOL won't connect.
Uninstalled the AOL 9.0, and was able to sign on to AOL 4.0, but through a dail up, and when tried to go to google.com, got error message and AOL 4.0 closed down.

you dont need aol to connect to dsl. just open internet explorer and it should just go.
there may be some settings you have to change so if that doesn't get you on the internet make another post and let me know.

you may be confused ;) about the aol situation. aol is one way of connecting to the internet. your dsl is another way. you don't need aol because you already have another way of connecting. you are basicly paying for two sevices when you only need one.

if your old email is with aol, try a free email service such as gmail  or yahoo. internet explorer (or firefox would be even better :tazz: ;) :tazz: ) along with anti virus and anti spyware programs are all you need.

remember to repost if you need to change those settings :)
