After downloading AVG Free edition ( I already had F-Secure installed)
I have not been able to re-start computer. Windows page appears, then log in page
then error message appears for about half a second then it shuts down and then trys starting up all over again. This continues constantly until I turn it off.
How can I turn on to remove the new programme (AVG) and get my pc back?
Window XP on Toshiba Laptop (dont have spec as cant get in to look at it)

Get yourself in SAFE MODE then try uninstalling the program!

Thanks, that has got things moving again but message keeps popping up :

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library runtime error
program..net sucurity/backweb/4476822/program/4476822

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way..
please contact the appllications support team for further information"

Any ideas?
