USB ports

Help please
Since unplugging my scanner when I moved, my computer will not now recognize the scanner. It works on a friends computer. What could the problem be? <_<

well i'm no expert but i'd try connect the scanner to any other usb ports incase its a problem with an individual one, if that dosn't work try connecting a digital camera or mp3 if you have one to the usb port and see if they work if they do it might be a problem with the software try reinstalling it and check the end of the usb cable that runs from the scanner make sure its pluged in and un-damaged. hoep this helps
