HELP!explorer.exe error when starup

[B]i could see nothing on the desktop,i just can move the mouse,but nothing is appeared. I thought there might be something wrong with the new software I just installed. Then I start up the laptop,but I cannot get it. Oh, my system is Win XP. :tazz: ;) :) :( :(

First off, which software did u recently install?
Try and see if explorer.exe opens in the follow in way:
Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)
Make sure its on the Processes yab.
Click File-> New Task(Run..).
Type explorer.exe. Press Enter.
If it does, can u post a HJT log here.

Ya,I can do that. The software...just a tool to login the internet of the university. (AEGIS-client)
HJT log? I don't know how to do. But the problem is exactly the same as what is appeared before.
explorer.exe has a problem and needs to be closed... something like this

Lets whether u explorer.exe is coorupt.
Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)
Make sure its on the Processes yab.
Click File-> New Task(Run..)..
Type sfc /SCANONCE. Press Enter.
Follow the instructions and Reboot.

I get it. Thanks a lot. Next time i will do that(hope there will be no next!haha!)
I've already recoveried the system,but there is another problem now,i used the system of the ibmx31 itself. There is something wrong when I do the usual stuff on my laptop. The message box just tell me'there is something wrong", what could I do ?
