If you have the MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard built on the nForce4 Ultra chipset and have had problems with windows XP freezing on boot after installing any drivers then read this

I bought this board and had a free problems with XP freezing on boot, where the boot screen would stop with its scroll bar frozen. After cheching things like RAM and up-to-date drivers the problem still persisted. After hours of looking through boot logs of times when it booted and times when it didn't, I found that a driver called "nvatabus.sys" loaded on the times when it failed to boot. It seemed that this driver had stopped windows loading the CPU driver and RAM driver and anything on the north northbridge for that matter. So I booting the computer and uninstalled all the nvidia programs that had been installed apart from the nvdia drivers. This fixed the problem.

Just thought that people would like to know incase thay also have this problem and can't work out how to fix the computer!
