Hello, I'm not that smart with computers but I know a little and my friend told me this is the best way to get my computer fixed. Here are my problems. When I start my computer it tells me that BSPLAYER.EXE had to close. I don't even know what that program is. Also, my Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player will freeze up on me, and when they do I will try to close them using CTRL/ALT/DELETE, and when I do it, the task manager won't close them, and the absolute only way I can get them to close is by manually shutting my computer off, which I know is not good. Also, I have recently had tons of pop-ups, and for a few days I would be browsing my internet explorer and it would simply close with no warning or warning box. Both of those problems have stopped with the help of Ad-Aware and Spyblaster which I purchased. I just want to make sure that my computer is in running shape and clean of all of this mess. Please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and Run the Program. Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows. Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and remove all traces of espfspi.dll. Reboot.

Download Ad-aware from: http://www.lavasoft.de/res/aaw6.exe

Install the program and launch it.

First, in the main window, look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now and download the latest reference files.

Next, we need to configure Ad-aware for a full scan.

-> Click on the Gear icon (second from the left) to access the preferences/settings window

1. In the General window make sure the following are selected:

• Automatically save log-file
• Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal
• Safe Mode (always request confirmation)

2. Click on the Scanning button on the left and select :

• Scan Within Archives
• Scan Active Processes
• Scan Registry
• Deep Scan Registry
• Scan my IE favorites for banned URL’s
• Scan my Hosts file
• Under Click here to select drives + folders, choose:
• All of your hard drives

-> Click on the Advanced button on the left and select:

• Include additional process information
• Include additional file information
• Include environment information
• Include additional object details

-> Click the Tweak button and select:

• Under the Scanning Engine:
  • Unload recognized processes during scanning
  • Include basic Ad-aware settings in logfile
  • Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile
• Under the Cleaning Engine:
  • Let Windows remove files in use at next reboot

-> Click on Proceed to save the settings.

-> Click Start and on the next screen choose Activate in-depth Scan at the bottom of the page and then choose:

• Use Custom Scanning Options

-> Click Next and Ad-aware will scan your hard drive(s) with the options you have selected.

-> Save the log file when it asks and then click Finish

-> When finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose Select All from the drop down menu and click Next).

-> Reboot your computer.

Ok, I'm on a new computer now because when I ran that Winsock program and deleted espfspi.dll it completely destroyed my ability to connect to the internet through the network here at my college. I had a technician come up and they said that I have no way to connect to the network because I have no program on my computer to connect it. I don't know what happpened but I have no way on the internet at all now.

Run Hijack This and save it on a floppy and post the log again on the computer that has a connection.
