I have a Windows XP system. My daughter runs AIM in her profile. The computer runs fine until she starts using her AIM account. The system usually (not always) then slows down or halts and only a reboot brings it back up to speed. I've tried disabling add-ons, removing spyware and have checked for viruses. I removed Weather Bug and that seems to have helped with the severity of the problem but it still persists.
