Hi, my virus scan just showed that I have the delprot.sys trojan virus. I was wondering how to get rid of it? I restarted in the safe mode because I couldn't delete it in my windows folder, and in safe mode I was allowed to delete it. But now I've done another virus scan and it is there again. What should I do? Thank you.

Hi, thanks for respsonding. I've read what you told me to, but I can't possibly download all of that, I'm on dial up. I have downloaded SpyBot though. I'm not sure if I still have the virus or not, should I post a hijackthis log? How do I do that? Also, if I post it will you be able to tell me if it's still there or not? I'm not familiar with the hijackthis thing. Thanks!

I haven't seen the delprot virus lately in my virus/spyware scans. I downloaded a new virus software from my new internet service, and it keeps alerting me that I have another virus, and I keep deleting the file. It sent me an alert twice, but im not exactly sure if it is the same virus both times.
