First click on the start button on the lower left corner of your screen.
Choose Programes, then go to the upper right corner of your screen and next to the red X reduce the size of the programs window. You should now beable to see the Desktop in the background.
Now find the program you want to put on your Desktop. Point to it with your mouse and by holding down the left mouse button drag it out to your desk top.
