Have windows 2000 server with 2 workstations. Workstaion running win 2k became unstable. I was unable to install any software so I reinstalled OS.

NOW windows 2000 server has same symptoms. I am unable to launch any apps, so installing spyware scanners is impossible. Can not access properties pages for anything. When I launch IE it launches window then no response. I was able to run hijack this, but did not see anything odd. Most apps are not responsive. For example. Arcserve back up behaves like ie, I see splash screen then no response.

very frustrating since I have no Idea what I am up against.

If launch in safe mode IE works.

thanks,

that was the problem....

weeks after your suggestion.... i received an email from APC recommending to remove the program... however it did not describe the dramatic negative Impact I experience.

Your reply was a real headache reliever.

who knew?

you did.

thanks.
