Dear Helper,

I have managed to get PSGuard supposed anti-spyware software on my computer, but have removed the initial annoying desktop with ewido and ad-aware. But occassional I still get the PSGuard running on start up, I have a little red circle icon in the system tray, which just says my computer is infected. Ad-aware seems to find the PSGuard, but doesn't permanently remove it.

Could you give me some advice on removing these, here is my hijackthis log

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you are running Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
