Hi,
Im getting quite annoyed at DfrgFat.exe running when im away from my system. Its causing my hard drives to click away like crazy and not only is it noisy, but i cant help think its doing them no good.
I believe its a defrag program but I dont have it scheduled to run in task scheduler, nor anywhere else to my knowledge.
Is it safe to leave it runnung and can i disable it from running automatically if i should decide to?
Thank you

Try the following steps:
Start->Run. Type cmd. Press Enter.
In the Command-Prompt Window, Type: defrag /REVERT. Press Enter.
(Note: There is a space between defrag and /REVERT).

Hi,
Im getting quite annoyed at DfrgFat.exe running when im away from my system.

One of my pc's is doing the same thing and I can't figure out why its running on its own at times when the pc is idle. There is no scheduled event for a defrag I also catch wuauclt.exe running on its own sometimes but I have Automatic Updates turned off !
