:tazz: Hello people, This is (or should be) a quick one. A neighbour has bought a laptop from a carboot sale and when he switched it on it powers up but then the screen goes blue and it says please enter power password. Is this the same as a bios password. I know that if the battery is disconnected this sometimes resets the bios password but I don't want to advise him to do this in case it totals the machine - Seeing as it's not mine ;)

Any help would be appreciated to restore my status as " the bird up the rd who knows stuff about computers"

Thanks in Advance
