ewido wants to do things

I am running Ewido & ZASS. I get Security Alerts saying that " guard is trying to change your settings by modifying file WINDRVDIR\ETC\HOSTS
application is ewidoguard.exe

Is it safe to allow this and any other requests Ewido may make.
