I've installed MS office 2003 standard before but i uninstalled it, now i want to install it again but every time i try to, a screen shows up after extracting saying.
i dont plan to crack it or nothing i just want to use it for school work until it expires...

"Fatal error during installation".

please help...

Sorry it took so long for someone to get to you..

Have a small question, but what are you extracting and why?? The Office cd should simply install the program??

It's a trial that i downloaded from microsoft...
I mean when i click on the .exe it extracts itself and then says
"Fatal Error during Installation"

Most likely a time-limited trial and your time limit is up..

Wouldn't matter if you had uninstalled it prior to the time limit being up as it still would have had the necessary registry entries to keep the clock running..

Your choice now is to buy the complete version!!

but i downloaded a new trial but it still doesnt work ?

any time you install a trial version of software it sets certain registry values that prohibit you from just uninstalling and installing again to get around the limit....if you are going to use the software for school you should look at getting an academic version from microsoft...it's alot cheaper...it's still limited use (i think 128 days) but it will work while you're in school.

It wouldn't matter if you downloaded it 20 times.. You will need to purchase it now..

Take dsenette's advice and go for the Acedemic version.. Lot cheaper but the only drawback, to keep it legal, is that you can only use while you are in school..
