I went through all the steps and spybot lists coolwwwsearch homesearch 11 entries that it cannot fix. I have been plagued with cws for a while and nothing seems to remove it. Previous scans have revealed a downloading trojan but ewido security hopefully removed it. I ran trojan hunter after and it found nothing.
I also wanted to mention that windows sp2 was installed while my pc was already infected. My system runs painfully slow, the ie page autoloads at startup and my pointer sometimes has a mind of its own. I hope you can help me because nothing seems to be able to remove this bug. thank you in advance. I have attached a copy of hijack this for your review.

Please print out these instructions or copy them into a text file on your Desktop for easy access.

During the fix, u will be asked to fix some entries, delete some files or uninstall some programs. If in case, you do not see those entries / files / programs, please make a note of it. Continue with the fix and in your next post please inform me of all deviations from the fix prescribed.

1. Download Programs

Please download these programs and save them in a new folder on your desktop -

CleanUp
Ewido Security Suite

Install Ewido, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

CWShredder

Update CWShredder

* Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
* Click Check For Update
* Close CWShredder

2. Remove Infections

Restart the PC in Safe Mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key when the PC is starting up).

Run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

Run CleanUp and delete all temp files including temporary internet files

Run Ewido full scan. Let it fix any items it finds.

3. Run Hijack This

Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following items need to be fixed -

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: Class - {F9C17427-371D-0928-0CFC-D2BAD2884B31} - C:\WINNT\system32\sdksc32.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [d3ph.exe] C:\WINNT\d3ph.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sdksc32.exe] C:\WINNT\system32\sdksc32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [atlfp.exe] C:\WINNT\atlfp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winmo32.exe] C:\WINNT\winmo32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iezm.exe] C:\WINNT\system32\iezm.exe

Close all windows other than Hijack This. Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

4. Delete Rogue files

Open Windows Explorer (right click on Start and then click on explore). Locate and delete the following folders and files -

Files
C:\WINNT\d3ph.exe
C:\WINNT\system32\sdksc32.exe
C:\WINNT\atlfp.exe
C:\WINNT\winmo32.exe
C:\WINNT\system32\iezm.exe

Clear out the files in the Prefetch folder. Go to start> run> type into the box Prefetch. It will open the folder Prefetch. Delete all the files in that folder. Dont delete the folder, only the files in it !!!!!!!!

Reboot the PC in Normal Mode.

Run Hijack This and post a fresh HJT log along with Ewido scan report.

Hello and thank you for responding so quickly :tazz:. I followed the steps listed and wanted to mention that cwshredder cannot find cws on my system. I have run that before with the same results. I am pasting the 2 logs you requested for your review and look forward to your response. Thank you again

Hi. That's good news. My system is still running a little slow but somewhat better. There is something new that has been happening and that is when I click on a link the window doesn't open to full size. Also , my mouse pointer sometimes takes off on me like it has a mind of its own. I ran spybot seatch & destroy today and it found cws 11 entries that it cannot remove. I wanted to ask you if you think I should uninstall windows sp2 because I installed it while my system had this issue. Once again, I thank you for your help on this because I have been getting very frustrated.

Hello,
You were correct it was winnt. I removed those files and ran spybot s&d and cws no longer appears.:tazz: Thankyou. I have a laser Logitech usb wheelmouse and I did a troubleshoot and everthing shows up good and my driver doesn't seem to be corrupted..?? I did a scan with ewido security suite and I will show you what it found. I really wish I could protect my pc. Our household only uses it for school research e-mail and web games. We do not download anything now....
