Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log, and we'll clean up what's left.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

Here is the new L2M log. Whilst ruinning fix ther ewere a few error messages " Microsoft Visual C ++ runtime library runtime error.... MALWARE names" which I just closed. Plus Ewido 'cleared' a few things. Will; send the HiJack file shortly. Still got a pop-up though!

Please follow all instructions below.

Important Note: It is extremely important that you run Ewido in Safe Mode and while the scan is running do not open any windows, run any programs, or do anything else on the computer.

First, download and install CleanUp!

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, if it does go ahead and reboot.

Start Ewido
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.

• On the left hand side of the main screen click update
• Click on Start

The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.

Once the updates are installed do the following:

• Reboot into Safe Mode, you can do this by restarting your computer, then contiunally tapping F8 until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.
• Now open Ewido Security Suite.
• Click on scanner
• Click Complete System Scan
• Let the program scan the machine

While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean the first infected file it finds. Choose "remove", then put a check next to "Perform action on all infections" in the left corner of the box so you don't have to sit and watch Ewido the whole time. Click OK.

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report

• Click Save report
• Save the report to your desktop
• Exit Ewido

Reboot into normal mode.

Then, please run this online virus scan:
ActiveScan

Save the results from ActiveScan.

I need you to post the log from Ewido, the log from ActiveScan and a new HiJackThis log.

See below for logs from Ewido and Hijack. I ran ActiveScan (twice) but could not save the report as when about to do so an error message ( first time) and a pop-up (second time) prevented it. Cannot find any place where I can access the report subsequently in Activescan. Initally ActiveScan found two viruses , about 26 spywares and 2 hacker tools; second time no viruses but same number of others. If you need the ActiveScan report please suggest how to get round this.

Thanks for the help so far, it does seem to be a little cleaner.

Copy everything inside the code box below and paste into Notepad. Go up to "File > Save As", then click the drop-down box to change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as findfiles.bat on your Desktop.

Reboot into Safe Mode
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Doubleclick WinPFind.exe

• Click "Start Scan"
• It will scan the entire System, so please be patient!
• Once the Scan is Complete
• Go to the WinPFind folder
• Locate WinPFind.txt
• Place those results in the next post!

Reboot back to Normal Mode!

Double Click on "Track qoo.vbs"

Note - If you Antivirus has Script Blocking, you will get a Pop Up Windows asking you what to do. Allow this Entire Script to Run, its harmless!

Also, I expect you know I have Microsoft Antispyware and CounterSpy installed - in another tthread I saw you needed MicrosoftAntispyware disabled.

You have several nasty infections, so we've still got quite a few things to do. It will take me a little while over those logs, so in the mean time please do this:

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck: Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck: Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware

After it's been disabled:

Download FindQoologic from http://forums.net-in...=post&id=134981
Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
Save the folder, preferable to your desktop. Open the FindQoologic folder.
Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
Wait until a text opens, copy the entire contents of the notepad and paste them here.

I also disabled real time protection from CounterSpy which seems to be very similar to Microsoft AntiSpyware, disabled Edwido real time protection and removed Trojan guard. Should I re-insttae the protectioon for Edwido and trojan guard? Not sure this is Notepad from FindQlogic as there were constant error messages -screen print of message should be visible to you in the attachment with this

Once it starts rebooting you need to go into Safe Mode! When the system is restarting, continually tap the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on nailfix.exe.
Click "Next" in the setup, then make sure "Run Nailfix" is checked and click "Finish".
Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Double-click KillQoo.reg on your desktop and when asked if you want to merge with the registry click YES.

Then, run HiJackThis. Place a check next to the following items, if found, and click FIX CHECKED:

Help!

When re-booting in safe mode an error message " Cannot find C:\Nailfix.exe " popped up. I ignored and went to double click on Nailfix and got this error message:

"Nailfix-
The set up files are corrupted. Please obtain anew copy"

Plus I am unable to get any internet access. Have left the bad machine booted in safe mode and am emailing you from another one.
