Hi All

I have recently reinstalled Win98 Se on my coputer and now i don<t have any sound or 256 bit color. I kno i am missing the driver for it but i can't find it anywhere. I have a NEC computer.

PLZ HELP :tazz:

Howdy:

The drivers will either be on the systemboard driver cd you got with your system or on the manufacturers webpage..

Try going there and searching your system !!

I didn't get any cd because i didn't buy it from a store but can you help me find the driver.

Went to the NEC site and there is no such model ...

Download Everest (<-- click there) and run it.. Post the log here..

i installed the sound card driver and it worx (thnx) but i couldnt find an installer in the zipped folder of the display driver so i dont know where to copy the files so i can get 256 bit color. Plz reply and tell me where to copy the files so i can get the color fixed. thanx

There may not be an installer.. Go into Device Manager.. Finf the video/graphic display entry.. Right click on it and select "Properties".. Now use the option to "Update Driver".. When it asks which driver to use, point it to where you unzipped the video drivers..
