I have XP Pro. It runs very well, but it takes forever for it to shutdown. What could be causing this? Is there an easy fix. Thanks, Boogieboy

Same problem, overcame it with this "User Profile Hive Cleanup Service" "uphclean".I looked into Murray S reply but didn't see it there ( probably is though ).

Google this, User Profile Hive Cleanup Service, click on download details and this will take you to the Microsoft download center.

Hope this helps
