DVD and CD quit!

I can't use my DVD or CD/RW - both drives show up in the device manager with a yellow !. Error code is 39. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, ran update device driver which just tells me that no better drivers exist.

Now What?????

System is Compaq Presario 4409CL. Compaq DVD-ROM SD-616T
HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8400B

Hi,

You can find the suggested MS resoltuion for error code 39 here

This is a problem with the driver or binary file that loads the driver you may be best to post this over in software forum of Geeks to Go.
