Hey guys, I'm new here obviously. I have gone through the forums and read some similiar if not exact issues. Sorry to bring this issue up again but I am at this point lost beyond return. I have a Western Digital Raptor SATA Hard Drive. I have it connected to my normal SATA 1 connector. My computer recognizes it, but my windows XP doesn't?!? I have read the other threads and I have downloaded my driver and did the f6 at the prompt, but absolutely nothing new has happened. It still doesn't recognize it. I have searched for answers and tried almost everything I have found on the internet. I am using a ASUS K8V SE Deluxe. I have read in the manual about how to hook SATA HDD up, but somehow starts talking about RAID?! I am unsure if my bios settings are right - I am just lost any help or new idea would be muchly appreciated. Thanks.
