hello!

i've read through a lot of the topics here and the preliminary things to do...but my situation seems to be a bit weird and a lot of the basic stuff can't be done

right now i'm working from Safe Mode in XP (with networking of course)...the reason is, everytime i try and use Normal mode for Windows then Explorer.exe looks like it is using up about 127mb of RAM or so...this basically makes it to where i can't do a thing in standard Windows mode...but in Safe Mode it's perfectly fine

i had originally had SpySherriff (with the blue background and all) but after running a lot of the recommended stuff from your topics it has cleared that up (as it seems)...but, the thing is, all of this stuff was run from Safe Mode because that's all i can really access...and although i can get further into Normal mode now, it's still basically unusable because something eats up all my RAM when i'm there

so...i can post any logs you would like to see, but my issue is that they would probably all be from Safe Mode...i will see if i can maybe make HJT run in Normal mode but it's kinda doubtful

is there any way to maybe clear some of this from Safe Mode?

thanks ahead of time...really appreciate what you all are doing here

i'm gonna post the HJT log from Safe Mode anyway...perhaps it'll show something in there:
