Norton AV 05 and Steam (hl server browser) problem

Hey, I have Norton Antivirus 2005 and when I browse for counter-strike servers on Steam and some other games like Call of Duty, a Worm Protection window pops up asking if I should permit Steam to keep running and I select "permit" and click ok but then it keeps popping up until the steam has stopped searching for browsers. Is there a way to exclude Steam from worm protection or what should i do? Thanks.
