I have tried to delete this pest with ad aware and beta, but it seems the file just keeps changing names. I cannot delete the program from the microsoft ad/del memu either. The ad\del memu has a web link which sends me to the Aurora website to download their unistall program. I really don't want to use their sofware considering the way they secretly installed this crap in my computer!

Hi enrique,

It is good that you didnt use the uninstaller on their website. The uninstaller collects information about you PC and maybe also bout your surfing habits etc.

Removal of Aurora is a simple process. However we need to see all the running processes on your PC.

Please go to this page - http://www.geekstogo...?showtopic=2852.

Download Hijack This and follow the instructions for posting the HJT log here. Please post back in this same topic and dont start a new one. I will take a look at it and help you clean up your PC :tazz:

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

I could not install the service pack because it said the product key used to install windows was invalid. This is my girlfriend's copmputer, and I don't know where she got XP from. The original program was Microsoft ME. Is there any way we could continue without the service pack or is there any other way to intall it?
