Hello, I have done just about everything i can think of to try to fix my computer, but i still have the blue screen w/ the black box saying that my system is infected. Also i get a ton of lil white mail boxes that pop up from symantic, pretty much saying that it is trying to scan a message and send it. Every now and then they spam out of control and i have boxes all over my screen. I looked at a previous post from someone on here and saw about the HijackThis program so I downloaded it and this is what it gave me:

Welcome to the Geeks To Go forum.;)

you have a few problems there. :tazz:

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite from
here. Install it and
update the program with the latest definitions. Setup the program
following the instructions here and then close it without running a scan.

Reboot into Safe Mode

Then please run Ewido security suite, and perform a full system scan.
Remove anything found,

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report

* Click Save report
* Save the report to your desktop.

then reboot normally, and post a new HJT log, and the scan log from Ewido.

can you please close down PCTools Site Guard, it may hinder HJT from making the changes necessary.

Rerun HJT,and put a checkmark beside these :-

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://195.95.218.172/index.php
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://195.95.218.172/index.php
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = http://195.95.218.172/index.php

now close all windows and browsers and click FIX CHECKED

Download Killbox from here.

Double-click killbox.exe on your desktop.
Select the option "Delete on reboot".
Now highlight and 'copy' the entire list of filepaths below:

C:\windows\system32\mdms.exe
C:\windows\system32\winacpi.dll

Open 'file' in the killbox menu at the top and choose 'Paste from clipboard'

Now you will see, this is pasted in the "Full Path of File to Delete"-field.
There's a little arrow (dropdown-arrow) next to that field.
If you expand it, these lines should be there together!

Then press the red button with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be deleted on next reboot.
Click YES

When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you get a "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" message then just restart manually.

Then boot up in SAFE MODE <<<< VERY IMPORTANT

then rerun EWIDO.

then reboot and post a fresh Hijackthis log and the log from ewido

that looks clean now.:tazz:

DISABLE SYSTEM RESTORE run your anti virus, when you get the all clear
restart your system restore.(same page).then create a new restore point :-

click START\ALL PROGRAMS\ACCESSORIES\SYSTEM TOOLS\SYSTEM RESTORE. click on "create new restore point"
click on NEXT and follow the prompts.

this is to ensure that if you have to do a system restore in the future that you don't get all the nasties reinstalled again.

Then

Go to TOOLS\INTERNET OPTIONS. and delete all TEMP INTERNET FILES

Download CCLEANER

then run the scan under the windows tab.

then DEFRAG your C:\ drive.

to help speed up your system.

then let us know how the computer is running.

Copy the bold text below to notepad.
Save it to your desktop as fixdesk.reg
Ensure the "Save As" type is set to "All Files"

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

Locate fixdesk.reg on the desktop and double-click it.
Confirm you wish to add the contents with the registry when prompted.

Reboot the machine and check your display properties.
