Hi,

I just reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows 95 and then a Windows 98 upgrade. When I attempt to install my isp from a cd I get a box that says "You must be an Administrator on this machine to install this software. Please logon with an account that has administrative privileges"

I have never had this happen to me before and all I can think of is that it thinks I'm on a network. Is there a way I can change some settings to get it to work normally again?

Who's your ISP? I think I'd give them a call, it may be a hickup in their software.

Their site is no help, and phone support is $1.95 minute , but their email support is free. You're having problems with your Internet Service Provider, but they offer free email support, ironic.

That being said, you obviously have other Internet access. Have you tried their email support? Sorry we can't be more help.
