Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. Close the Registry Editor now. Go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the following into Notepad:

REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ADP.UrlCatcher]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ClientAX.ClientInstaller]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\DyFuCA_BH.BHObj]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ISTbar.BarObj]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ISTx.Installer]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SideFind.Finder]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\TestContentMatchControl1.ContentMatchTag]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ISTbar]

Save the file as "delete.reg". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Double click on it and choose Yes to merge it. You may delete the file afterwards.

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.

I hope you can tell me something soon. I only have a few hours out of each day that I can check e-mails and put into practice whatever you tell me. I f you can't then let me know then I will just go ahead and reformat my harddrive. Thank you.

This shouldn't be very difficult to remove so I don't suggest formatting. But if you need the computer ASAP, then you may format...it's your decision. I recommend fixing rather than formatting :tazz:

In Microsoft AntiSpyware is the drop down set to Ignore by any chance? If so, I want you to change it so it deletes that ISTBar entry.

Run all the preliminary scans (Ad-Aware, Spybot and HijackThis) on that other user account that had Winfix problems also -- only if it has admin access as well. Then tell me that this is the same computer but for a different user account so I know and post the HijackThis log for that account.

I had microsoft spyware delete istbar from the registry then I did another scan with microsoft spyware and it found it again and I deleted it again and then I went through the process one more time and deleted it again. I deleted my other user account so that now there is only one account which is mine the administrator account. I think I will probably find istbar again if I do another scan. I will not do anything else until I hear back from you. Thank you :tazz:

Boot into Safe Mode and run FxIstbar.exe again. Then run Ewido scan.

Save the log. Restart and post the log here along with a new HijackThis log.

Sorry to take so long to respond. It took me all night but I just reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled everything. I ran some scans there is nothing left that's infecting my computer. Thank you for all of your help.
