yes...in fact that was going to be my next question.....the only number that should be different is the ip address...and only the last number in the set should be different.

ok on the one that couldn't ping itself...try to ping it's ip again....then try to ping the other computer's ip address

Hi Desenette and dragontamer9 + sd
I would ditch dhcp & just go for the basic 192.168.0.5 255.255.2550.
and 192.168.0.6 255.255.255.0 or is the modem or router giving out a dhcp?
I would really try static
