I'll bring this entry to your attention:

This is STARR keylogger. For reasons of your own, did you or another user on the computer install it? If so, keep it. Otherwise, it should be nuked and afterwards you should change all your logins and passwords including financial istitutions like banks and paypal.

If you'll nuke it run HijackThis and click Scan. Put a check next to that entry.

Then reboot to safe mode by tapping the F8 key just before Windows starts to load.

If you're nuking the keylogger delete this file:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsys.exe

Then find LQFix.bat on your desktop and double click it to run.

When done, reboot back to normal mode.

Go here and make an online scan, let it remove what it can and save the results.

We still have some cleaning up to do..

Please copy and save these instructions on Notepad as you will have to do some copying/pasting in safe mode.

First, download and install CleanUp! but do not run it yet.

Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Go to Start > Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) then hit Ok
Scroll down and find the below service:

System Startup Service (SvcProc)

When you find it, double-click on it. In the next window that opens, under the General tab click the Stop button, then click the drop-down box to change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok.

Open HiJackThis, click on "None of the above, just start the program". Now, click on the "Config" button (bottom right), then click on "Misc Tools", then click on "Delete an NT Service" a window will pop up. Enter the below item into that field (make sure there are NO spaces before or after the name):

SvcProc

Click OK.

It should pull up information about the service, then ask if you want to reboot. Click YES.

Upon reboot boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key before Windows starts to load.

Once in safe mode, go to Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and uninstall these if found:

FunWebProducts
MyWebSearch

Then navigate to and delete these folders:

C:\PROGRAM FILES\FunWebProducts
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MyWebSearch

Next in IE, go to My Favorites and delete this entry:

Casino & Carrers

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, if it does don't reboot yet.

1) Now please run Killbox.

2) Select "Delete on Reboot".

3) Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\ATPartners.inf
C:\WINDOWS\HLInstaller.exe
C:\WINDOWS\lmqjozo.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MB.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mbkwnst.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\shawn_1.dll
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

4) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

5) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt. If the computer doesn't reboot by itself, reboot manually.
