USB Pen

My USB Pen has been working fine until the other day I opened an excel document, altered it and tried to resave it. It wouldn't save an error keeps coming up saying there is a possible sharing violation or the file name has changed.

I am very new to computers so if anyone can help can you answer in the simplist terms please.Thanks.

Is the pen still workig in other ways or is it not letting youdo anything with it. If you can still move and copy files from it, tak everything off check all the files are working and then reformat the pen.
