I receive the following error message when attempting to install Service Patch SR1A for Microsoft Office 2000:

Error 1303. The installer has insufficeint privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Common files\Microsoft Shared\1034. The install cannot continue...

I've found that the System & Read-only attributes are set for this directory.

I have applied this service pack to dozens of workstations in the past but encountered this problem on an XP workstation. The only difference that I have found on this w/s is that the user is running AOL and has also installed "AOL Spyware Protection".

1. Has anyone encountered this situation?

2. Can anyone confirm/deny that AOL Spyware Protection sets attributes (perhaps in an effort to prevent spyware files from being written to disk) ?

Any AOL users out there care to ask AOL tech support about this??

Any info would be appreciated...

Thanks
