I will be honest with you!

To me,one AV is as good as the other!

I have Norton Internet Security here and have Zero Problems!

If Norton wasnt paid for and is going to expire, then I have some suggestions!

Have HijackThis fix this entry if its still present!

O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINNT\svcproc.exe (file missing)

Now restart in Safe Mode and Click Start-> Run-> Copy&Paste the 2 commands below into the Open Box and Click OK!

sc stop SvcProc

and then

sc delete SvcProc

Restart Normal and look through this list of free Antivirus and Firewall Software!

Here is a list of Free Antivirus Software:

AVG
http://www.grisoft.c...ng/us/tpl/tpl01

Antivir
http://www.free-av.com/

avast! 4 Home Edition
http://www.avast.com...ast_4_home.html

BitDefender Free Edition v7
http://www.bitdefend...cts.php?p_id=24

a-squared Free

ClamAV
http://www.clamwin.com/

Free Firewalls

Kerio Personal Firewall
http://www.kerio.com/kpf_home.html

Sygate Personal Firewall:
http://smb.sygate.co...pf_standard.htm

Go ahead and Renable System Restore and reconfigure MSconfig the way you like the PC to StartUp!

Open Internet Explorer and Click Tools-> Click Windows Update and get all Updates for Windows Installed!

If I have my choice of the free software above?

Id get AVG and Sygate!

Thats just me!

Post back and let me know what ya think!?!
