Over the past month I have noted that my desktop randomly refreshes itself. At the times it does it flashes blue then returns to the designated image,if using a program the screen flashes black the returns to the program. Also since this has occured it looks as if the icon names on the desktop are all highlighted. During this time I have also noted that my page load times are varying on the broadband internet connection we have (sometimes painfully slow enough i wish we were only paying for dial up).

I have gone thru the steps stated above and created a hijack this log tonight in hopes that maybe some one will let me know if there is more at work on my computer. I know at one time there was a listing for a squared, but have not seen it on the rogue list, nor mentioned of the few posts I read over tonight. a squared said i had trojans and worms that were not picked up by any of the "You must read this" softwares or my AV, but unfortunately did not tell me how to remove these problems.

the symptoms still exist, the speed of the broadband has improved slightly, altho it can still have issues (more of a complaint of my hubby than myself).I'm of the belief that the broadband issue is from the isp, but before i argued with them again i thought i would have experts check out my computer.... the desktop refreshing itself is more of my concern. its like it reloads the picture we have in the background, this reload can knock the computer's screensaver off, interupt a game, etc. it only lasts a moment, just as if i have just turned the background image on i hope that makes sense
