I havent been on my computer for about 2 months now, and suddenly theres this yupsarch toolbar and lots of ads...

Please download LQfix.zip

Unzip the file and save it to your desktop:
Do not use it yet!
Next please follow these steps:

Reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Important Note: You must boot into SafeMode or the fix will fail!

• DoubleClick LQfix.bat that you saved to your desktop.
• A DOS window will open and close again, this is normal.
• Reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post a new HJT log by using Add Reply

yes, i have ad-aware se. i checked and on the bottom of the interface it says

You are running an outdated version of Ad-Aware.
Please follow the instructions below.

You will need to remove any previous versions of Spybot that you have on your system.
To do this you will need to go to Start | Control Panel | Add-Remove Programs.
Remove all installations of Spybot S&D. Then follow the set-up instructions below.

Spybot S&D Setup Version 1.4

Now follow the instructions for Ad-Aware SE

Ad-Aware SE Setup Verison 1.06

Run both of these scans, once you have done that, please post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply
