When I try to open a folder from my desktop I get an Explorer Page fault error.
It refers to 018F:8FF8 AC13.

It appears twice before the folder finally opens. What's Up ! Please Help.

To eliminate a couple of things, boot the PC and keep tapping F8 right after the beep until you get options, select command prompt only, type scanreg.exe /fix then press enter, it will run through a few screens then say registry repaired. Press enter then press ctrl + alt + delete keys together to reboot.

When it has loaded, click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools, system information, tools then run system file checker and replace any files it asks for from the 98SE CD.

Running these checks the registry and files for Windows are in place.

Thanks Keith. I did what you suggested and the problem is still with me. I now know how to check and repair my registry so thanks for that.
Any other suggestions would be most welcomed.

Thanks Keith for the prompt response. I have just solved my problem myself. Not sure how but I went to my add/remove programs and removed two that I wasn't sure of what they were. Took a chance.
The two were (My Search bar and Rx Bar) they appeared on my browser one day and I never knew how they got there. Anyway, they are gone and so is my fault. Go figure !!!

Thanks again for all your help and maybe this will help someone else.
